Hi, my name is Carlos Cárdenas and this is my creative and design portfolio.

I’m a highly experienced Creative Director and Senior Graphic Designer that has been involved in all the creative process that comes hand-to-hand with marketing production. I have 15+ years of experience directing, producing, and supervising high-quality graphics that are essential to support multiple teams within a marketing department.

In July 2005, After working for 3 years in different design industries, such as magazines and printed publications, clothing supplies design, and design studios, I moved from Bogota, Colombia to New York City, to begin full-time work at a Printing Company. during the next 4 years, I worked as a designer and pre-press specialist, so I had the opportunity to learn and master the printing production process from the initial design and file optimization steps to the pre-press process and final plate delivery using the Direct to Plate technology.

In April 2009. I moved to south Florida, and since then, I have been producing multiple freelance, designs and marketing collaterals for several clients. I dedicated 10 years of my career to working for the well-known lighting manufacturer CHAUVET Lighting where I took the lead of the Graphics Team, supervising multiple Graphic Design pieces and assisting the different teams within the Marketing department to make sure all campaigns were launched cohesively.

In 2021 and for the following year, I took over the Creative Director role for the Car Wash manufacturer Sonny’s Enterprises in Tamarac, FL. There, I managed a larger group of creatives. Coaching, training, and mentoring artists on the different aspects of marketing production. Some of my responsibilities relied on producing different types of digital, Email, and printed materials to launch and promote large tradeshows. Supervise, correct, and adjust a 1200-page product catalog, producing photography, 3D renders, layout design, and style correction for a variety of car washes around the nation.

Currently, I hold a position as a Sr. Graphic Designer for the iconic elevator manufacturer Otis. Where I provide graphics support to the entire global corporate team. Some of my main tasks include Print Design, Digital, Interactive Design, Web and Landing Page Design, and Branding development.
